Just thought I would get in a short post to let ya’ll know we haven’t fallen off the face of the Earth! I know I’ve talked about how busy we get sometimes but lately it is even worse. Somehow this time of year is the busiest, school activities, swim, field trips, boys’ birthdays….
So here are a few of our Instagram pics to keep you in the loop. Not the best quality given the time of day they are taken or using the phone camera but you get the idea.
Oreo torte for Jack’s birthday.
Hiking in the mountains during a long weekend.
On a hay ride with Ewan’s class this morning for a field trip.
This week is extra action packed. We’ve had all three boys at the dentist, swim practice, a field trip… I’m also the PTO treasurer and spent a morning at school counting money from our big fundraiser. Tomorrow I’ll be at school all day for the fundraiser as well.
During insanely busy times like this I barely have time to think let alone plan meals. Luckily soups are easy! We’ve had chili, German lentil soup and tonight is white chicken chili. What do you eat when you are busy?
I can only hope things calm down soon. Next week is a couple more days of fundraiser work and then just maybe I’ll get back to my usual busy schedule and have more time to play in the kitchen. A girl can dream, right?!
A girl can dream Gretchen!! I have so busy that I have not be able to do anything lately here, I have a phone full of pictures and the recipes but no time to blog, but I will get back too soon, right because a girl can dream right!! LOL Love the Oreo Torte!!! 🙂
And dream I will! The Oreo torte was fantastic and I’m definitely making that cream cheese frosting again.
Love using Cream Cheese!!! 🙂
Busy, busy, busy is the millennium phrase. People seem to be getting busier and busier as the years whoosh past. Omg I absolutely love that picture on the rocks. I couldn’t do that. I am terribly scared of heights. I have to look at the German soup, definitely. Enjoy the weekend!
Luckily we weren’t very high up on the rocks! The boys now want to learn how to go rock climbing, as in with a harness and helmet. Not sure I’m ready for that yet!
