Last summer we had a new Kroger open nearby.  Since it was summer break I had all three boys with me when I went to the grand opening.  They quite enjoyed themselves, between all the samples and seeing many of their friends it was a fun day.

Catching Up with Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Scotchies

Every time I plan to get caught up blogging something seems to happen lately.  I think I’m going to have to come to the realization that our lives are just permanently hectic!

Jack was recently home from school for five days.  It wasn’t so bad the first couple days.  He actually napped a bit and was pretty cuddly and adorable.  Lack of energy will do that to him.  By the last day, once he was already fever free for 24 hours, he was driving me completely insane.

His energy was back.  His appetite was back.  His attitude was back.  I was miserable.

For a couple months now I’ve been joining Deborah Balint of Rainy Day Bites on Instagram for a monthly cookbook club. Each month Deborah chooses a new cookbook and anyone who wants to join in can cook along and post photos.

In My Kitchen – March 2017

I know February is a short month but boy did it ever fly by in the blink of an eye!  It’s already a few days into March and I still don’t believe it.

We had another busy month as usual, though I didn’t manage to capture much as far as photos go.  Here’s what I’ve got in my kitchen this month….

My sweetie got me two gorgeous wooden bowls for Valentine’s Day.  He know the way to my heart!  The first is a huge antique bowl which currently holds all our blood oranges and cara cara oranges.  It sits on the kitchen table which is currently covered with plastic and acting as a greenhouse with all our seedlings (hey, just keeping it real this month)!
