Yesterday we had my parents over for cocktail hour. It was a great chance to have appetizers and try some new recipes out ( I’ll be posting one very soon). The best part though was a chance to enjoy a nice light dessert. As much as I love to bake it is nice to have a dessert that doesn’t heat up my house or take much time.
It doesn’t get any easier than this scrumptious peach. Not only is it easy, but you can make it in small amounts too. That can’t be said for cakes, cookies or other desserts! Just slice a peach (or however many you want) in half and remove the pit. Rub a little oil on the cut side. Place cut side down on a hot grill. With lid closed cook for about 5 minutes. Place on a plate, drizzle with honey and fill the middle with a spoonful of goat cheese. Regular goat cheese works but blueberry vanilla is simply divine!
I like this idea of cocktail hour. I should try and do it with my girlfriends. The recipe is so easy and peach is in season. I have to get some goat cheese and try…thanks so much for sharing this simple recipe. It looks elegant! Enjoy summer, while it lasts!!!
Cocktail hour is great with the girlfriends. Our play group does a Moe’s night in once a month or so and we enjoy finger foods, drink and conversation! Hope you get a chance to enjoy it soon.
Wonderful way of socializing. Thanks for sharing!
