When I lived in Germany I discovered Quark. It is a wonderfully versatile dairy product. My favorite way of serving it was with fresh fruit. So when I recently rummaged through my fridge and decided to empty several containers I was thrilled to come up with something that tasted as good as Quark.
At the time I had some non-fat Greek yogurt, sour cream and Cool Whip. I threw together everything I had, added a little powdered sugar and the result was amazing. Silky, smooth, creamy and just slightly sweet. You could still taste a little of the tang from the plain yogurt. And fruit on top, well just all the more natural sweetness!
It is beyond easy to throw together. And a pretty healthy dessert at that. My boys just love any fresh fruit I give them. Right now we are on a major mango kick, so I used mango, blueberries and strawberries. Use whatever fruits you love most. I think it would also be yummy if you added a little liqueur, one of my favorites with fruit this time of year is limoncello.
And now an introduction to the boys…..
Sean, the two and a half year old.
Ewan, the four and a half year old.
Jack, the five and a half year old.
