I did my senior year of high school in Germany, junior year of college in Austria and lived with my husband for a while in Germany. I know German food, I love German food! This time of year a good hearty lentil soup is heavenly. Continue reading

Curry Roasted Green Beans, Sweet Potatoes and Chickpeas
It’s a new year and many people tend to start eating healthier right about now. We try to eat a well balanced diet year round at our house, though during the holidays with so many Christmas cookies, fudge and other goodies around it tends to get sugar heavy. It doesn’t help when I have three boys who sneak things, like the cookies their Grandma brought that I had in the garage freezer. Let’s just say there is powdered sugar everywhere! Chicken and Lentil Stew
We survived our first week of swim lessons! My best laid plans were not a total success. I packed dinner for the boys to eat at the gym, however, Jack was the only one that actually ate. Seems Ewan and Sean were too busy glued to the television in the babysitting room to bother with dinner. I wonder why they complained about being hungry after lessons?! Continue reading
