Strawberry Basil Lemon Cocktail

Today is Feeding My 3 Sons two year blogiversary. What better way to celebrate than with a refreshing warm weather drink, with a kick of course?!

Strawberry season is coming to an end in our neck of the woods and I choose to enjoy the bitter end with a drink. Of course I can still enjoy this cocktail with my stash of strawberries that we picked in the freezer! What better pairing than basil, remember I have lots of it in the garden. Mint crossed my mind too, but what the heck, basil it is. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll have this drink again with mint or mint AND basil!

Need a way to jazz up your cheese plate? Spice up your life with some marinated feta cheese! It is beyond easy and yet the resulting cheese is so full of flavor.

With our herbs finally growing well it is time to have some fun. All right, the fun may have already started with plenty of minty cocktails. Mint grows and spreads really well so we have LOTS. Garden Update

I can almost taste the tomatoes! We tied the plants up a couple weekends ago and it is smelling like tomato plants. They have such a distinct smell, I just love it! There are plenty of blossoms and even some baby tomatoes. The cherry tomatoes seem to be the first to grow. Continue reading
