Vanilla pudding is such a classic and yet it took me so long to post a recipe. Better late than never I guess! I’ve actually been making it for some time, just never got around to posting it. Maybe because it is so popular and gets eaten too quickly to photograph!
The other day Sean and I had on Unique Sweets while I was getting our carpet picnic ready. Let’s just say this is a dangerous show to have on, so many delicious looking sweet treats. The good thing is that we don’t live near most of the places they go! Another good thing to come of it is that it is an inspiration, the result of which is this recipe.
Some restaurant on the show served a fruit studded focaccia for brunch. Why hadn’t I ever thought of that before?! I simply had to come up with a recipe for this. Sean agreed! Of course when he sees any food on television he usually wants it, “can we make that Mommy”!! Continue reading →
Last week Ewan had three mornings of Kindergarten orientation from 8:30-11 in the morning. It was the perfect practice for getting ready for our back to school routine. What better way than to work on an easy breakfast, one that could be eaten walking to the bus if we are rushed?!
This week is going to be a little crazy for us since all three boys have swim lessons starting Tuesday. I decided to survive this schedule change it is going to require some planning ahead. Our biggest issues are dinner and breakfast. The boys will be eating their dinner at the gym twice a week while I work out and then they will have swim lessons. As for breakfast, Jack tends to sleep a little later the morning after swim so it will need to be portable to eat while walking to the bus.
It doesn’t get much better than this. It combines all our favorite dessert flavors, chocolate, peanut butter and banana. It’s multiple desserts in one, cookies and pudding. And best of all it is extremely portable making it the perfect picnic dessert. Continue reading →
